Also it can be perfectly good to mention "at the end of the week" in American English so I think this boils all the way down to Individuals and Brits conceptualizing the term "weekend" differently (possibly basically "the end"=point in time and by extension some time right before it, or "end"=a Exclusive, named span of your time)If my memory serves
